Job duties
The Computer Officer is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and support of all onboard computer systems, servers, networks, POS terminals, and peripherals, ensuring the systems perform at optimum levels. This consists primarily of level 1 and 2 support as well as system monitoring and troubleshooting. The computer officer is supported by the shoreside IT group.
Requirements
Candidates for the Computer Officer position will have an AA or higher in Computer Science, MIS, and at least two years of related experience, specifically in the areas of user support. Candidates must have thorough knowledge of computer systems, including hardware and software applications. Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills are required, with management experience strongly preferred.
Salary
4,500 dollars a month
Additional notes
Travel arrangements to the vessel and free repatriation. Medical coverage is under contract.
